Background
Founded by Stephen Addison BEM, BoxUp is an award winning organisation addressing social issues affecting young people vulnerable to crime. To date BoxUp has impacted over 50,000 young people’s lives, providing viable and positive futures through gyms, boxing, education, music and careers.
Brief
Create one brand vision and expression for the many interconnected aspects of this growing social enterprise, reflecting its pivotal role within communities and the young people it serves.
Solution
BoxUp’s impact on inspiring young people, empowering communities and supporting creative enterprise is expressed through a bold and dynamic visual identity.
The interconnected aspects of the organisation are visually unified, providing cohesion across all aspects of the brand including BoxUp Gym (fitness), BoxUp Sportswear (fashion) and BoxUp Life (social enterprise) under one single-minded direction. The vibrant colour palette and impactful typography is reflective of a boxing culture with the energetic ‘B’ symbolising forward thinking and the power of rebuilding young people’s lives.
This project has been proudly carried out in full collaboration with Stephen and the BoxUp team.
