Brief
Create an identity and signage design which reflected Monotype’s world leadership position and innovative capabilities, expressed and engrained throughout their global headquarters.We were engaged to create a complete brand identity system including wayfinding which promoted the brand, reminded the industry why Monotype has been at the top of its game for so long, and showcased the endless future possibilities.
Solution
We combined Monotype’s heritage with technology and positioned them as a leading brand using a strong, distinctive typographic approach.Working alongside award winning Ben Adams Architects, their London headquarters became their first physical showcase of their dedication and homage to type. This passion was visible with over 2000 ‘M’s branded into floors, walls and ceilings with a craft that reflected their own unique design ethos.The Pencil To Pixel campaign launched in London and New York helped to reposition the brand through a series of events including a digital wall installation, a modern interpretation of Monotype’s historic technology and type library, the ‘Collections’ campaign.
